Welcome to No. 2Broadgate Bed and Breakfast in Barnstaple , north devon. Its a beautiful winters day here in the south west. The sun is shining and the birds and singing like it was spring. Yesterday evening saw the incredible early return of swifts to the town of Barnstaple, a truly spectacular sight - like watching ballet in the air crossed with an animated aerobatic firework display. Very early for these birds but given the mild weather we have had up till now not so suprising.
We have still a number of vacancies for your stay here at the B&B and would love you to come down and stay with us. We are offering discounts for stays up until March if the weather holds its a truly wonderful place to come and visit without the throng of tourists. Beautiful open sandy beaches of Saunton and Croyde and Woolacombe await and the coastal paths and cycling routes around the regions are a fantastic way to see the beauty that North Devon has to offer.
